abstract: The near-infrared diffuse reflectance imaging
method is presented to detect the distribution of blood vessels at body
surfaces in the paper. In the experimental system, the near-infrared LED
was used as the light source, the low-noise CMOS camera sensor combining
with a filter was used as the detector, the computer was used as the
data-processing terminal. After the system had been set up, two groups
of photos for the hand and the arm were taken respectively. One group
was taken under the nature light, the other group was taken under the
near-infrared LEDs. The distribution of the blood vessels cannot be got
in the first group of photos, while they can be got in the second group
of photos. The results show that the near-infrared imaging method could
be used to detect blood vessels noninvasively and conveniently.
