abstract: Designing an embedded image capture system
for various industrial based remote applications sometimes can be a very
challenging task due to embedded system architectural constraints and
its relatively rich feature requirements. In this paper, we describe an
embedded remote image system design, based on a widely available low
cost 8-bit MCU. The uniqueness of this design includes: (1) video buffer
design based on its relatively large 16 MByte memory, (2) a CMOS color
camera sensor interface.
