abstract: With the popularity of blind sidewalk
construction in the city, the blind sidewalk can greatly facilitate the
daily travel of blind man. However, in reality, some blind sidewalks
often become disrepair, which is not convenient for the blind man to
recognize. Some blind sidewalks are also occupied, which brings certain
danger to the daily travel of the blind man. To solve this problem, this
paper presents a video image blind identification system based on FPGA.
The system uses Altera's DE2 development board as a hardware platform,
and collects images through the CMOS image sensor, and realizes the
real-time monitoring and recognition of the blind road environment, and
provides voice prompts for the dangerous sidewalk sections.
