abstract: The paper details the design and simulation
of the working of an Analog Front-End Model of Miniature CMOS Image
Sensor. The model has a power consumption of 4.8 mW and lower heat
dissipation due to the selection of only one column of pixels at a time.
The pixel values are stable under sufficient light conditions. The
optimal resolution of the model is 400×400, with an achievable framerate
between 83 fps. The model has been simulated using Cadence Virtuoso and
tested against the results obtained from MATLAB. The model works
satisfactorily even at temperatures of 10°C, 40°C, and 70° C, as well as
for -10% and +10% VDD tolerance.
