abstract: CMOS image sensor has many advantages
compared with traditional CCD sensor; the image system based on CMOS has
become a hotspot in research and development. A new image acquisition
system for electronic endoscope is designed on basis of OmniVision
Corporation's CMOS image sensor and camera bridge processor, in which
the image data can be transferred to main processor through USB
interface. The performance and configuration of the system are described
in detail in this paper.
